爵士將在臺灣時間4月1日面對灰熊，就在全隊包機準備前往孟非斯的時候，卻有小鳥突然捲進飛機的左引擎中，飛機緊急降落鹽湖城機場，據爵士發言人表示，當時整架飛機都在搖晃，「所幸我們安全着陸，沒有發生什麼事。」
爵士包機原定在美國時間週二下午1點半到2點之間出發前往孟非斯，沒想到卻在起飛途中遇到小鳥撞擊，左引擎壞掉緊急降落，爵士發言人說，不確定現在的引擎狀態，爵士全隊下機後，全隊先回家等待下一班新機。
